New Broadcast Updates!

Hey [wlm_firstname]!

Wow, this update is bigger than we expected. Not only have the long awaited 100 custom fields arrived, the broadcast email system just got some sweet updates! Check out this sneak peak video!

Think about this. You can send a broadcast email to your customer base announcing a new show that you offer. Of course, you can see who opened your email but now, even more powerful, we can see who didn’t open the email. Not only that, we can now email those people again, trying a different subject line and a different approach.

Read the above paragraph again and let the power of this set in.

So what do you think [wlm_firstname]? Leave your comments and questions below!

  1. This is awesome. Now I can see who’s really opening my mail. Plus – the 100 custom fields thing opens up whole new categories of goodness. Thanks for the heads up.

  2. “F to the A to the double R is a David Farr Webinar!!” – LOL !

    First time I’ve heard that.

Great info. Looking forward to setting up (properly) my birthday sites. I have gone back and am redesigning using Xara Designer 7, which makes it easy graphically. Can’t wait to tweak them properly for AS birthday info.

Question – In the past, the choices for the birthday child’s sex was not part of the field data, but actually a drop down choice created in MS Frontpage. Now that it is part of the field data, when we create the online from, will that give us the ability to set the autoresponders that should be subscribed in the form wizard part of 1 shopping cart. I know we did it before in Frontpage/Composer in the HTML or the graphical interface. So is it available now at the “creation” stage of the form? Does this question make sense?

  3. @Harvey Haha, thanks for noticing my new jingle! Yes, I think I understand your question. Here’s the thing. How I currently have this set up is, it’s not a submittable field, just a drop down with 3 choices of autoresponders (boy, girl, multiple b-day children). However yes, you could now create a new custom field, and have that data be saved to the contact however, there’s no easy way then to have the proper autoresponder subscribed based on which sex they select. However, with custom scripting we can do both. On my MagicKidsParty.com, I do have a drop down that will not only subscribe the proper autoresponder, it also directs to proper thank you page, and it also submits “boy” in my field 8 (or whatever the sex is or multi). But if you weren’t looking for an autoresponder to be subscribed based on drop down choice, then you could just add a new custom field, make it a drop down, and add your choices. Does that make sense Harvey? We can talk about this more on our next live training.

  4. Ok David,

I figured as much. I do like the auto field fill. Looking forward to going over that in the next live (well, for me recorded) training. As I am usually busy doing things I can’t get out of during the “live” events. Thanks.
