We released the “Big Brother” add-on from the upcoming AS 4.0 that will allow you to spy on your prospects as they decide whether or not to hire you. We also helped Marty Hahne set up some birthday stuff on his site.
Basic Instructions (remember, use at your own risk!)
1. Inherit the autoresponders from 182330.
Login to 1shop, click on “Email & Marketing” then on the “Inherit” button. Type in 182330 to inherit/download the autoresponder templates into your own 1shop account (there will be two listed). It may take a minute or two to show up. It’s very important to set the unsubscribe on E-Promo-Kit click through to unsubscribe the E-Promo-Kit autoresponder. It’s also important to set your email address in the alternate destination on all messages that begin with * in both of these autoresponder campaigns.
2. Download the link tracker file
Unzip it on your computer. Open up the php file with your favorite text editor (I like Notepad + +) Update the settings at the top with your 1shop merchant ID, autoresponder ID (from the E-Promo-Kit autoresponder you just inherited), and the thank you url that you want to direct the person to after they click the link, typically your sales page or e-promo-kit. Finally upload it to your hosting account in your main/root directory. Big thanks to Scott Lesovic for his help with this!
3. Create a custom field named “tracker”
In 1shop, hover over “Email & Marketing” and then hover over “custom forms” and then click on “custom fields”. Click the “Create New” button in the upper left hand corner. Make sure the short name is called “tracker” (without the quotes). The label can be anything. I used “link tracker” for my label.
4. Test it!
Subscribe yourself to the E-Promo-Kit, when the email comes in click the link and you should be directed to your thank you page that you set up in the settings. Then, you should receive a notification that you clicked. If you do it again, you should receive another notification but this time the click count should read 2. Also, it should unsubscribe you from the initial “E-Promo-Kit”

David Farr is it possible to set up multiple links all with their individual trackers on one auto responder?
For example i want to set up an auto responder with a list of different reasons why a prospect hasn’t taken action yet. Once they click the specific reason it will redirect them to my website where i have a custom answer for that reason. which will further motivate them. But i would like to track to see which reason they picked. If this is possible that would be crazy sneaky!

Yes! This IS very possible! The only thing to remember is that if you have them submit too many forms in one day’s time, they’ll get the image verification (CAPTCHA). So keep that in mind whatever strategy you come up with to use this, make sure it’s not likely that they’ll go through your web forms more than 3 times in a day. I love this idea Perry!
